Connecticut Website Design Company: AllStarWeb.com, Chester, CT.
I started AllStarWeb.com in 1998. Originally from Deep River, Connecticut, now living in Chester, CT. With more than 25 years of computer experience, AllStarWeb is an "All Things Computer" company. Since the launch of the internet, I have been researching and studying search engine technology and has acheived much success in the aspect of gaining top ranking spots for both broad and niche keywords and phrases. Working closely with an antique dealer, located in Essex, CT., originally from Main Street, Chester, CT., One of a Kind Antiques. I developed a Microsoft Windows desktop application for the antique shop which is used to add and edit items and which generates the website for One of a Kind Antiques. Originally, I built two servers, one as a backup, which we co-located in New Jersey. We take photographs of items and use the software to add them, connect to the server and generate the website. However due to the expense and maintenance, we moved the website to a well-known hosting company and took back the servers. I studied PHP and MYSQL database programming and re-wrote the code, integrated with the desktop application, and the cost of hosting is around 1/10th the cost, and the website performs well. We no longer need to lose sleep wondering if the server is going to crash and take the site down with it. We still use the Windows application, we've been calling Webbuilder, but now we use a different method to update the items on the website, synchronizing them so-to-speak and then run some PHP scripts which generate the online antiques catalog.
